Pamela Gray-Bennett, Ed.D.

Pam has worked with CPSS for more than twenty years and has served as director for the past 17 years.  Previous to her work with the Commission, Pam was a public school teacher and administrator working in urban and suburban schools in Massachusetts, Maryland, and New Jersey.  Pam has also been a professional writer for General Learning Corporation and an educational consultant on general educational school accreditation and on effective instructional practices and teacher evaluation. She earned her doctorate from Boston University, her MA from Rutgers and her BA from Simmons College.
 
 
Janet Allison

Janet has worked with CPSS for more than twenty years, and she served on the Commission prior to that time. Previous to her work with the Commission Janet was a Social Studies teacher and an assistant principal in New Hampshire and Georgia public high schools. She earned her Masters of Education in Administration from Northeastern University and her BA from the University of New Hampshire.
 
 
Ann Ashworth
Associate Director of the Commission

Ann has worked with CPSS for the past four years. Prior to that time she served as an English teacher at the high school and college level, a dean of instruction, an assistant principal and a high school principal in California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts public schools for 34 years. She earned her MS in Educational Administration from the California State University, Fullerton, and her BA from Miami University.
 
 
Charles McCarthy, Jr.

Charlie has worked with CPSS for the past five years, and he served on the Commission prior to that time. Previous to his work with the Commission, Charlie was an English teacher, an assistant principal, a housemaster, an assistant to the superintendent, and a junior high and high school principal for 35 years in Massachusetts high schools. He earned his MAT and BA from Boston College.
