Janet D. Allison
Director of the Commission

Janet has worked with CPSS for more than twenty years as an Associate Director and Deputy Director, and she served on the Commission prior to that time. Previous to her work with the Commission Janet was a Social Studies teacher and an assistant principal in New Hampshire and Georgia public high schools. She earned her Masters of Education in Administration from Northeastern University and her BA from the University of New Hampshire.
Ann L. Ashworth
Associate Director of the Commission

Ann has worked with CPSS for the past six years. Prior to that time she served as an English teacher at the high school and college level, a dean of instruction, an assistant principal and a high school principal in California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts public schools for 34 years. She earned her MS in Educational Administration from the California State University, Fullerton, and her BA from Miami University.

George joined CPSS in 2009 after many years of service to New
Hampshire and New Jersey schools, where he served as social studies teacher and assistant principal. George has the distinction of having opened two NH high schools as founding principal. He earned his MED in administration and his BS in social studies education from Keene State College
Edward J. Gallagher, III

At its March 11, 2010 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Edward J. Gallagher, III, as the new Associate Director for the Commission on Public Secondary Schools. Ned hold degrees from the University of Massachusetts (B.A.), Boston University (M.Ed.) and Harvard University (CAGS). Ned is a most experienced secondary school educator with thirty-one years of experience who began his career as a middle and high school English teacher and then has served as a principal in two high schools. Ned was the principal at Mascoma Valley Regional High School in Canaan, New Hampshire. Most recently served as the educational leader for eleven years at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, Massachusetts. Ned’s knowledge of and commitment to the accreditation process is best demonstrated by his years of service as an assistant chair of several visiting committees. The Commission on Public Secondary Schools and the Commission staff welcome Ned and look forward to working with him.
