Indicator 4

For each academic expectation in the mission the school shall have a targeted level of successful achievement identified in a rubric.

What to Look for:

Do school-wide rubrics outline specific levels of performance and indicate the level of successful accomplishment or basic proficiency for each skill listed in the school's academic expectations?

  • a school-wide rubric for each expectation which describes the characteristics of the expectation at different levels of achievement
  • an indication of which level on the rubric represents the quality which allows students to "pass" or demonstrate proficiency
  • for further information and samples, see Guide to Developing and Implementing the Mission which is available on the CPSS webpage at www.neascorg
  • evidence exists that the faculty was integrally involved in developing school-wide rubrics
