The role of student voice and leadership continues to evolve, from student government, to leadership of teams and clubs, and beyond into opportunities for agency and leadership within each student’s own learning, school experience, and community.

Join students, teachers, and administrators from Farmington High School in Connecticut, Proctor Academy in New Hampshire, and others to discuss the leadership structures and supports for students in their schools, and share stories of student leadership and agency in action.

NEASC Visitor Training: Introduction to NEASC, ACE Learning and Visitor Competencies (in-person) - September 12, 2024

Training for Visiting Teams | International Education

This workshop prepares participants to become NEASC approved accreditation visitors for international schools and includes a comprehensive overview of the NEASC protocols in action. Participants will develop an understanding of the philosophical foundations and logistical processes involved in all NEASC accreditation pathways. Aspiring visitors will be introduced to the NEASC visitor competencies which will guide development and growth of personal skills and attributes.

Leadership transition: Independent Schools

It is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Edie Traina as our incoming Director for the Commission on Independent Schools.

Following a rigorous and comprehensive search, the search committee unanimously selected Ms. Traina, Assistant Head of School for Faculty and Academics at The Taft School, as the leader to serve the needs of our diverse group of independent schools. She will join the NEASC team this August.
